It's just frustrating to pay to upgrade to the "new and improved" version, only to find it is "new and inferior" instead. I will say that I am on the same machine that I used v2 on, with no major changes to it, other than upgrading to the latest versions of MacOS. I hate the whole "well it's not happening on my end so." thing, even though I totally understand it. No they can't help me because all my issues are random and/or unrepeatable. Moreover, Snagit allows you to create GIF and take a screenshot of a particular frame directly in PNG. You can record your screen with System audio, Webcam, Microphone, and System Audio. You can add audio, image, and video tracks with ease. It comes with prefabricated tools that take minimal effort to use and create, such as the ability to highlight areas of the screen. I wouldn't say I am a disgruntled customer, but I will say I am pretty disappointed at the QA that was/was not performed on the latest Mac version. Snagit, on the other hand, does not have so many output options compared to Camtasia. Camtasia is easier to learn for beginner film editors than some other, more complex software. Randomly, my mouse doesn't grab a segment in the timeline, or when I click it, it randomly shrinks that segment.my app randomly crashes, I routinely get odd messages like "some other application has made changes to this file" when I go to save it, even though I just created it 5 minutes before, and haven't even TOUCHED another application, and on and on and on. I have already gone through the hassle of a full deletion of the old version, removing all settings and latent files that may be lurking and I find version 3 to be far inferior as far as stability and overall experience goes. While I wouldn't go far as to make the same blanket statement as the OP did, I will say that version 3 is far buggier than version 2.
